Storm Ford - Interview
What was your thinking behind A Process?
The "Process" concept came about very naturally. I've always felt a way about oversaturated art. I find myself very curious about the behind the scenes of my favorite creations, so I assumed my listeners would be equally interested in mine. Overtime, I accumulated around 100 voice memos capturing freestyles, jam sessions, and conversations. Through these sound bites, I decided to show the evolution of my song ideas to inspire other creatives to take pride in their own art, in its purest form.
Who do you see as your audience?
My audience is anyone who has acknowledged their adversity and is actively trying to heal themselves.
What makes A Process different from an EP or an album?
A Process is different than an EP or album because it is not produced, mixed, mastered, or premeditated. A Process takes place effortlessly. When you're working on a song, you are obviously striving to capture your artistry in the best way, as opposed to giving yourself the room to embrace the imperfections that make up A Process.
What are the first 3 tracks on the playlist of your life?
The first 3 tracks on the playlist of my life are "Nothing Even Matters" by Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo, "AfricAryaN" by Logic (mainly J. Cole's part at the end), and "Since I've Been Lovin' You" by Led Zeppelin. But not necessarily in that order.
